About me

Hi, I’m Anjan. Let me tell you how I got here.

I’ve worked with global brands like Google, Motorola, Dabur, KFC and American Express, and managed marketing budgets of nearly ₹1,200 crore. In 2011, I co-founded WebExcel Solutions’ digital division, building it into a profitable business within eight months.

In 2018, I founded Noboru World. Since then, I’ve built ventures including Lushful, Auxman, Pinkfly, Sapiens and Fundamentals. I’ve also taught at IIFT, IMT Ghaziabad and BML Munjal University. Building businesses has taught me that growth takes more than a good idea - it takes the right decisions, the willingness to learn and the ability to keep moving forward.

My story

The long version, over a cup of coffee.

My journey started at Accenture and took me through some of the biggest names in advertising and marketing, including Mindshare (GroupM), IPG Mediabrands, ZetaGlobal and Fareportal. Along the way, I got to work with brands like Google, Motorola, Sony, Dabur, Tommy Hilfiger, Pizza Hut, KFC and American Express. I’ve managed marketing budgets of nearly ₹1,200 crore and explored how marketing, consumer behaviour and neuroscience come together to influence the way people think, feel and make decisions.I became curious about why people buy and what makes businesses grow. Eventually, I wanted to take what I’d learned and build businesses of my own. In 2018, I started Noboru World, and since then, my journey has taken me across ventures including Lushful, Auxman, Pinkfly, Sapiens and Fundamentals, alongside my work with Filing Buddy. Each venture has brought its own challenges and lessons, shaping how I think about business strategy, technology, marketing and sustainable growth. Building businesses has taught me that there is no single formula for success; you have to keep learning, adapting and making better decisions along the way.

Today, I spend much of my time working with entrepreneurs who are figuring out their next step. Some want to grow faster, some are trying to solve difficult business problems, and others are just getting started. I also teach at institutions like IIFT, IMT Ghaziabad and BML Munjal University, sharing lessons from the real world of business. Whether it's understanding customers, finding new growth opportunities or making better strategic decisions, I enjoy helping founders see their businesses differently and turn what they learn into action.

What I believe

Things I believe, because I paid for them.

01

Profit is the plan.

I spent years spending other people's crores. Spending my own taught me: growth multiplies whatever you have, including losses.

02

Say no more often.

Every business I've run grew fastest after I stopped doing something. The second product, the fourth channel, the client who drains the team.

03

Systems over heroics.

If the business needs me at 11pm, I haven't built a business yet. I build so the week runs without me, then I work on what's next.

04

Skin in the game.

I only advise on what I've run, broken and fixed with my own money. Advice is cheap when the adviser has nothing to lose.

Working with me

What you can expect.

I'll tell you the truth.

Even when it's not what you hoped to hear. I'd rather lose a compliment than let you lose a year.

You work with me.

No junior team, no slide templates. When you talk to me, you're talking to me.

I take on a few founders.

So each one gets real attention, not a slot in a calendar.

I reply myself.

Every application, within five working days.

Building something early? A few founders get a longer runway with me.

Off the clock

Life beyond the boardroom.

Most of my best decisions weren’t made in meetings. They came on quiet mornings, long drives and slow weekends.
